The legislation team is interested in leading environmental initiatives and advocating for environmental regulations

Current project areas include:

  • Researching and understanding how the legislative process works at these levels

  • Building relationships with other non-profit organizations in this space to learn from them

  • Finding active campaigns we can support and bring to the attention of our communities

  • Determining additional potential legislative topics we wish to pursue that align with our mission.

Skills needed:

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Interest or passion for environmental policy

  • Ability to research and understand complex policy issues

  • Professional writing and verbal communication for outreach and education efforts

  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building and stakeholder and community engagement

  • Independence to take action and initiative

  • Policy, research or advocacy

  • Project development
