Sustainability Consulting

The Sustainability Consulting Team’s primary goal is to provide consulting guidance to schools and businesses throughout the US. With a range of seven different categories of sustainability, the team works on the creation of training materials that provide support to the consultant. There are three different teams including logistics, outreach and school consulting support.

Skills needed to be on the team:

Experience or Interest In

  • Environmental/sustainability education

  • Experience in schools (bonus)

  • Experience consulting (bonus)

Subteams:

Logistics

The logistics subteam deals with the contracts, intern hours and budgeting for the team.

Skills Needed

  • Organization, detail oriented & budgeting

  • Administrative experience

Outreach

This subteam helps connect schools to the program itself and assists the school in performing the self-evaluation.

Skills Needed

  • Confident in communicating through phone & email, clearly spoken, persistence

  • Experience in sales, retail and customer service

Consulting Support

The consulting support subteam will work with the project managers to support the consultants guidance in schools and businesses. This will include shadowing the consultant, providing research assistance and any other aspects they may need to run the program. This position will give hands-on experience for the intern.

Skills Needed

  • Experience in research and modifying research content adaptable to each school situation

  • Public speaking & communication
