In an exciting partnership with O'Maley school of Gloucester, Seaside Sustainability, Inc. is offered a new Bradford Ski & Board Program. Bradford offers 13 trails and an expansive state-of-the-art terrain park with lots of jumps, rails and boxes! Open to all O'Maley students, participants were provided transportation to and from Bradford Ski Area in Haverhill. The program met for six consecutive Mondays this winter, starting on January 9th. The bus left after school from the O’Maley main entrance at 2:40 PM, and returned to the O’Maley main entrance by 7:15 PM. Students were encouraged to bring their own food/snacks, or they were able to purchase supper or snacks at the ski lodge before boarding the bus to return home. Meeting dates were scheduled for January 9, 23, 30 and February 6, 13, 27. One day was missed because of school closure, and was added on to the end. The cost per student for six Monday afternoons of skiing or snowboarding was $245 (lift ticket only) or $295 (lift ticket and lesson). Payment could be made by check or credit card. Equipment rental was also available either through Bradford, or referral to local venders.
