The initial focus of this organization, our local adventure programming, focuses on getting kids outside, unplugged, and engaged with their community and environment. The majority of programs have an environmental theme associated with them, and strive to help kids learn and get involved in the ecosystem with a hands-on experiential approach.
Seaside Sustainability delivers fun and engaging hands-on experiences!
SEA Marine Life Exploration
New England’s rich coastline is valuable to its people for many reasons, and should be protected and preserved for future generations. Because of this, Seaside Sustainability has set out to educate children on the importance of the ocean and marine ecosystem. We believe that one of the best ways to educate is to provide learners with experiential opportunities, the focus of SEA Camp. This one week camp takes students along the water from Salem to Manchester, giving students the chance to use scientific instruments and learn more about the blue world around them. We discover the secrets of marine life through fishing, snorkeling, lobstering, and so much more. We also encourage students to interact with their fellow campers, explore their interests, and most of all, have fun!
SEA Yacht Sailing www.Yacht-Rent.com
Come and join us on a marine adventure that is both interactive and fun! In this program students will get the chance to explore the blue world, while also learning how to sail across the seas. This program will teach students the necessary skills to take command of the wheel, pull the sails, and maintain order on the seas. After learning the ropes, new skippers will learn about the effects that humans have on the natural marine environment by collecting and analyzing marine debris and water quality samples. After we have learned about these effects, we will get the chance to snorkel; deepening our understanding and growing our appreciation of the big blue world.
