Alan McCoy is a lifelong educator. During his tenure at Pingree School, he has taught history, coached, and served as director of athletics for more than two decades. Most recently, he serves as the school’s sustainability coordinator, working with students and colleagues to make Pingree a greener place. Originally from southern West Virginia, he has seen firsthand the challenges coal mining brought to Appalachia and the people who live there. Alan graduated from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. He and his wife, Tina, share a commitment to being good stewards of the environment. He lives in Essex.
