Here at Seaside Sustainability we are proud of our internship program and the amazing group of interns we have working with us this semester. This week we are launching a new segment of our blog documenting the incredible work our interns do.This week’s intern spotlight is Abigail Stella!
Abigail was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania and recently graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York with a major in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Public Relations. It was through her Sustainability course, that Abigail better understood the harm the environment endures. She then understood her duty to spread awareness for saving the planet. Her personal interests include painting and drawing, reading, and running. She started at Seaside Sustainability this August as part of our Marketing and PR Team. She has made amazing contributions to our blog and social media. She has proudly taken on the role of Project Manager and established herself as a vital member of the team.
Outside of her work with Seaside Sustainability, Abbey continues to find ways to explore her interest in both fashion and environmental sustainability. With a great passion for better understanding the detrimental effects set on the environment by the fashion industry, Abigail recently started her own podcast titled “From Everywhere.” The goal of the podcast is to better understand the collective effort needed to yield positive results on the environment. She hopes to continue her career in fashion with a positive emphasis on sustainability. She is very excited to learn about environmental protection and hopes to spread the positive message of ‘action through education.’
