This week's intern spotlight is an intern from our marketing team and our Visuals Lead Clare Peine!
Clare is from rural Indiana and she is currently a senior at Ball State University. She will be graduating in May with a degree in Digital Video Production. She grew up loving her time spent outdoors and has always had a passion for capturing the beauty of the land. With her experience in filmmaking and her interest in sustainability, she felt interning with Seaside Sustainability was a great way to combine her two passions and spread awareness.
Clare really values Seaside Sustainbility’s mission in creating awareness through education and action. She had become increasingly more aware of the threat of climate change in the past year and finding Seaside Sustainability was a breath of fresh air and a step in the right direction. In her latest contribution, she organized a climate strike on her college campus and shared her footage on Seaside Sustainability’s platform to encourage our followers to follow in her footsteps.
Clare has learned a lot while working at Seaside Sustainability. It has been an amazing opportunity to put her filmmaking skills into action. She has really enjoyed collaborating with the other interns. She enjoys being surrounded by like minded, hardworking, passionate people all striving for the same goal. Clare has enjoyed all the projects she has worked on here, and she hopes to continue doing similar work in the future. After graduating from Ball State University, Clare plans to look for opportunities with other environmental nonprofits in marketing to create more awareness about sustainability.
