This week, we will be featuring Ally Mars as our intern spotlight!
Ally is currently a rising senior at Clark University with a major in Environmental Science and track in Conservation Biology. At Seaside Sustainability, she is currently the Grants Fellow and an intern on the Seabin Grants/Proposals team. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her puppy Margo and taking her on hikes.
Ally chose to intern at Seaside Sustainability because of her own environmental interests around conservation, which aligned with Seaside Sustainability’s mission. She also wanted to gain professional experience in her chosen field. Since the internship program was remote this year, she appreciated the opportunity to intern with an organization that may have otherwise been too far of a commute for her to travel. Her favorite part about interning at Seaside Sustainability is the community of interns and the common care for the environment among the entire group.
Ally recently applied to Clark University’s Master’s Program in Environmental Science and Policy, which would allow her to take courses during her senior year that would count towards her master's degree. In the future, Ally is interested in pursuing a career in environmental consulting or the nonprofit sector.
Thank you so much, Ally, for your dedication and hard work at Seaside Sustainability. We are so excited to see everything you accomplish in the future!
