This week we will be featuring Jessica as our intern spotlight!
Jessica is a senior at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA where she is majoring in Biology and minoring in Sustainability Studies. Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, she grew up hiking, skiing, and camping which developed into a passion for the outdoors. In her free time, she loves spending time at the beach, taking photographs, and hanging out with any and all animals. She has experience working with a local San Diego non-profit focusing on Marine Protected Area conservation and education.
Jessica works on the Grants Team and is also the Management Fellow for the Seabin Team. She chose to work for Seaside Sustainability because she can explore her passion for the ocean and environmental conservation while also working within her local and global community. She has enjoyed getting to work closely with likeminded people who are passionate about sustainability and making a difference.
After graduating in June, Jessica plans to take the year off to expand her professional skills and further explore her interests in sustainability and conservation. She hopes to attend graduate school in the next year to get her masters in Conservation Biology. Thank you so much to Jessica for her dedication and hard work at Seaside Sustainability. We are so excited to see everything you accomplish in the future!
